| Scope of Work: Bauer Foundation installed (319) 4.7” diameter driven Ductile Piles to a depth ranging from 60ft. to 70ft deep to support an addition to the existing school. The Ductile Piles were rated for 40 tons allowable with a factor of safety of two. Time was of essence as the production piles and load testing had to be completed over the Christmas holiday period when the school was not in use. Bauer Foundation completed the works 4 days ahead of schedule and within budget. The Ductile Driven Pile consists of a segmental pipe section driven with a high frequency hammer fitted to track hoe. The high frequency hammer results in virtually no vibration, whilst the segmental construction of the pile provides easy delivery of the pile sections and minimal pile waste. |
